Who is this form for?

Our Neighbourhood Teams provide a housing management service helping to make estates safe and clean places to live. Please use this form if you to want to tell us about any issue. We understand that you may want to remain anonymous but by providing us with your contact details will help us to work with you to solve the issue and also keep you informed of progress. Any personal details will not be shared if you have not given us permission to do so.

What do Neighbourhood Officers Do?

Each team has a team leader and officers who work on your estates. They are equipped with mobile IT and can access information from your home or estate, so they can quickly deal with your question or problem. They have a programme of estate inspections, and you can meet them on the estate to discuss any concerns you have.

Our teams also:
• Offer help and advice in neighbour disputes.
• Give general advice and help to tenants and residents and direct them to the appropriate service who can deal with your enquiry.
• Regularly check the estates and communal areas to see if they are clean and tidy or if there is litter or graffiti that needs reporting to the appropriate service to deal with.
• Work with local tenants’ and residents’ groups.
• Take part in customer consultations such as surveys, attending open days and giving presentations at public meetings.
• Work in partnership with other, departments and organisations such as: local councillors; community groups; council services; social services and local schools.
• Work closely with South Yorkshire Police and the Councils Safer Neighbourhood Service to deal with antisocial behaviour including youth nuisance or drug-related problems. We regularly share information and carry out joint visits with these agencies to your home if we need to.
• Work closely with the scheme managers in our Independent Living Schemes located throughout the borough.
• Work with our partners to ensure sure that any empty property is prepared for re-letting to our empty property quality standard.
• Work with our Lettings Team to make sure that our properties are let in line with our lettings policy.
• Offer help and assistance on low level support issues.

Our Neighbourhood Officers carry an identity badge which has their photo, name, and job title on it.
